Kim Delaney was an American actress. The actress is best known for her character, detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she was awarded an Emmy Award. Her credits are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was born the only girl of her mother who was a homemaker and high-ranking executive of the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life in the company of four brothers. As a child she was aspired to become an official in the courtroom. But after she graduated from high school and relocating to New York in the 1980s then she started modeling. When she was a teenager her first appearance as an actress came in the soap opera All My Children. Delaney is an acclaimed actor who has appeared in many films, TV movies, and dramas. Her professional career has been more successful than her private life. The talented actress struggled to overcome alcoholism and had two marriages fail. She was divorced in 2005 and was denied custody of the sole child she had.
